AQUACOSM-plus Fall Training School

Grand Hotel Italia
Location: Grand Hotel Italia
Start: Monday Oct 24, 2022
End: Wednesday Sep 28, 2022

AQUACOSM-plus is organising another training school for mesocosm-based research between October 24th and 28th 2022 in Cluj, Romania. This five-day school offers a unique training opportunity for students and early-career researchers in using experimental mesocosms in aquatic ecology. Topics will include using mesocosms to address grand challenges in aquatic ecology, designing and implementing mesocosm experiments, and an introduction to statistical analyses for mesocosm research.

Presentations and hands-on activities will be led by several of our consortium members, with many opportunities for networking and developing research collaborations.

We will cover the cost of food, accommodation, and travel for up to 20 students and early-career researchers from the European Union and states associated with the Horizon2020 programme (Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Israel, Moldova, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Ukraine, Tunisia, Georgia, and Armenia). Applicants from other regions are welcome but will be expected to cover their own expenses. Slots are competitive and will be granted based on applicant interests and qualifications.

AQUACOSM-plus Fall School will be held at the Grand Hotel Italia in Cluj, with participants staying at this venue for the entire duration of this workshop. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs/requests (e.g. severe allergies), but this may not always be possible!

Interested applicants should complete this registration form BEFORE September 25th (5pm CEST)
